Your Oral Healthcare Professional:
You are registered with one of the four dentists in the practice as a NHS, Denplan or private (fee-per-item) patient. We can explain the different ways of providing you oral healthcare with you when you visit. If you need to have emergency treatment you may be seen by a different dentist in the practice. You may also be referred for care by other dental professionals in the team who offer oral health education, smoking cessation support, acupuncture, massage and relaxation techniques. We will be introducing further treatments and therapies to benefit your healthcare over time – please look out for information on this website, our information boards and in leaflets available in the practice.
We are keen to develop a range of services and treatments to support good dental health and the wellbeing of our patients. To enable this we offer relaxation/TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint) massage, acupuncture, bleaching, smoking cessation support, oral hygiene instruction, and have the benefit both a dental hygienist and dental therapist within the practice. Derek King is also offering to patients and the general public personal coaching, NLP and hypnotherapy.
We stock a range of dental products which we believe offer best quality and care for our patients, and we are happy to demonstrate correct use of these dental products.
Appointments can be made by telephoning or visiting the practice during surgery hours. Outside of these hours we provide an answer-phone message which lists numbers to contact for emergency dental treatment.
We are committed to providing the best possible treatment to our patients. If you have cause for complaint please let us know. We adhere to the British Dental Association Code of Practice, Care Quality Commission standards for dental services, and have a written complaints policy available in the surgery. Complaints should be made in writing to the practice manager Miss Sandra Cooper.
Equally we are keen to receive feedback from patients in order to continually review and improve our services. We would appreciate any observations you may wish to make.
We also recognise that people sometimes suffer disadvantage because of their individual circumstances or background. We will not discriminate against anyone on the grounds of disability, gender, ethnicity, age or orientation. If you have particular needs please let us know – we will do our best to assist you.
